SureslimUK diet update

First week PROPERLY back on the diet and I am back in the game.

I lost 2lb which, while I wasn't overly impressed with as a total but I am going to take as the loss it is.

BUT what I am pleased with is my ability to get through the week.

This is the first week in a while where I haven't given up halfway through and made an excuse why I SHOULD eat that cake/takeaway/chocolate/pastry.

It is also THAT time of the month in a day or two and I have to say I am an emotional wreck this week, I feel fat, spotty, miserable and generally depressed. In a month or two when I have been dieting for a while I know that I wont't get all these symptoms and I will practically be rollerskating in the park (Insert rolling eyes smiley here) but this month I am suffering hard.

Which makes my 2lb loss a little bit better as I know I am retaining water like a camel in the Sahara.

I am also playing the long game again and thinking about my weight loss over a period of time. 2lb a week means that in a month I will have lost 8lb and be back where I was before. I could lose weight faster, but slow and steady wins the race. I'm happy with 2lb each week.

  1. Well done you!! Down is down in my book, especially if you factor in all that other stuff too! I lost 2lb last week and stayed the same this week, which I am happy with as only managed 2 sessions in the gym last week AND had a dreadful weekend on the food and booze front so was worried would see a gain! x

  2. Well done on the 2lb loss, Slow and steady does win the race but personally I'd like to lose 1/2 stone a week please! But unfortunately I've gained 2lb this week but I'm going to blame my children and mother's day choc's for that, it would have been rude not to eat them after all!

    Well done and keep up the good work, hopefully I'll have something good to report next week.

  3. Well done on the 2lb loss, especially around 'this time'! I'm going back to Slimming World on Thursday after a 2 week break and I'm dreading it. By my scales I've put on 1.5 pound, but there's another few days for it to show yet. #scared x

  4. All sounds good ladies. Well done on going back Stacey, some people (me) would let it slide for a month and then kick themselves for putting back on.

  5. Wel done on the 2lb loss! I managed just the one this week but a loss is a loss. And considering we ate out twice I think that's allright!

  6. Well done! I know how hard weight loss is *believe* me ... and your attitude is the right one - long term strategy. I'm a newbie runner but still really struggle with food - be it not eating enough or just making wrong choices.

  7. This week I ate a footlong subway and a hummous roll for desert. It wasn't my finest hour. x

  8. 2lb is grat, just think of that in bags of sugar!!! and lets not forget that us girls can out on up to 4lb during our period! so you may have lost more, well done :-)

  10. Well done. 2lb is great. Apparently it is the healthier to lose about 2lb a week than much more, because it is more sustainable. I mainained which I'm happy with. Ate too much chocolate and drank too much, but the Salsa dancing and walking up a mountain made up for it, here's to 2lb next week for everyone.
