Brain Worms

A brain worm.

Sounds hideous doesn't it?

Trust me, in reality it is a whole lot worse.

Think of a song that you hate, I mean REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY hate.

One that you never want to listen to again.

And yet you find yourself humming, or worse SINGING at the most inappropriate times.

THIS is a brainworm.

Yeah, I'm sorry about that.

But you get my point don't you?

Brainworm songs go into your ear, chew up parts of your brain. Rattle around in the memory bank for a while and then pop out of your mouth when you least expect it.

I need to point out that for the last 5 minutes I have been singing "You can't stop looking at me, staring at me"

FFS

The only way to deal with a brain worm is to introduce an even bigger brain worm to seek out and overpower the first brain worm.

As you can imagine, this can sometimes lead to problems.

Especially when the bigger brain worm starts chewing through and you need an even bigger, then a bigger one and a bigger one.................. Oh you get the idea don't you.

Before you know it you end up with the DADDY of all brain worms.

Disclaimer

I will not be held responsible for any damage caused by listenening to the following video, but do please let me know if you find yourself singing this six hours after watching.

  1. I've always referred to it as an 'ear worm'! But yeah, Swagger Jagger is probably one of the worst things you can have going round and round and round your head all day!
