A time for joy, family and happiness.
Sadly, not everyone experiences this at christmas and for some, this time can be a dark and lonely time or a time when emotions such as depression can be heightened.
You may be one of those people. You may have come across this blog post by chance, or someone may have forwarded it to you to read.
Consider it fate.
I don't want you to feel alone this Christmas.
I don't want you to feel depressed or lonely.
If you feel that you have hit rock bottom and you feel empty inside, If you can see the lights twinkling in other peoples windows, hear the laughter of your neighbours and yet you experience no joy, as if the world is a dark place in which you see no place for yourself any more.
Or if you feel that you are ready to make a change.
I want you to pick up the phone......................

Thank you so much for this great idea and sharing it x
ReplyDeleteThis year (and the past few) I am lucky enough to be spending xmas with people, but I have in the past had to spend it alone, and you're right you do presume everyone else is having a marvellous whilst you're stuck on your own. I've seen a lot of people posting online about 'if you know an elderly person who lives on their own, please pop in and check on them' but I think this should be extended to anyone of any age who are on their own, xmas can make many people feel vulnerable.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this!
Wonderful idea, my first christmas in a long time in which i'm spending it with family, so i know just how lonely it can get.
ReplyDeletehey K :) Merry Christmas hunni and again this is such a great idea, I think a lot of people will feel it this year and I'm so glad that you have shared these I have linked to this post. I hope it helps anyone who feels trapped in that dark place, I think we have all been there at some point xxxxx
ReplyDeleteThank you
ReplyDeleteI admire you so much for compiling this. I'm grateful to everyone who has retweeted it. If it helps even one then it is more than worth it.
ReplyDeleteMay i echo that statement.
ReplyDeleteThank you to everyone who has spread this far and wide.
I'm so proud of everyone who got involved in writing posts with these numbers on. I will do the same next year as well
From the bottom of my heart.
Thank you
That is very thoughtful of you, as some of us are quite far from our family and can feel a bit down at this time of the year!
