Thank you

Once again quite recently there has been bickering and fighting in the blogasphere, Now this always upsets me as a blogger, I have been blogging for nearly two years now and I much prefer a state of harmony and support for fellow bloggers (Have I overused the word blog enough now? I'm such a bad blogger....... oops, just done it again) than backbiting, snipping and bitchy comments.

So today, I am going to open my page here for anyone who wants to say thank you to another blogger.

It can be for any reason you want.

Whether they looked after you at your first event,

or they continuously support your blog by visiting and leaving comments.

It could be something as simple as the fact they retweeted a post that was important to you or helped you get to your 200th follower.

Let us be thankful for each other.

Support each other,

and say thanks

We can throw in a hug or two if that helps. (Keep your hands where I can see them though)

I'm happy to get the ball rolling, I would like to say thank you to Louise from Get Lippie  http://getlippie.blogspot.com/

She knows why x x x

So let's throw it open.

Which blogger would you like to say thank you to?

Why not do it here and now.

Let me know

  1. What a lovely idea, this is what blogging should be, and is for the majority of us, most of the time! Firstly I'd like to say Thank you to you - for constantly writing posts that I really want to read, right enough arse licking! I'd also like to say Thank You to Jane at Modesty Brown and Leanne at Obsessive Cosmetics Disorder for encouraging me when I first started and had only 10 blog followers & was getting disheartened, they encouraged me to keep writing and to join twitter and I am so glad I did both! Thank you ladies. xxx

    2. Love you too Debbie. This will probably sounds silly but you always inspire me to be myself when I write. I will admit that sometimes when I get stuck, I will imagine that I am writing to certain people and you are one of my 'people'. :D

Thank you to YOU for posting this blog up. Thank you to the Blognonymous team for being there for everyone else in the blogosphere. Thank you to everyone who has supported me with every stupid idea, rant, weird blog post and told me that they believe in me and I can take this further.

  5. Kellie, you made me cry, you big mental. I love you too, and you can *always* have my shoulder.

I'd like to thank, in no particular order, LondonMakeupGirl, BeautyMouth, Lipglossiping, VexInTheCity, and HelenNiceThings for inspiring me to blog in the first place, and keeping me (relatively) sane even now, even when I've made a total dickhead of myself. Which is far too often for comfort.

    Bloggers are ace.

  6. Thank you to Charlotte @lipglossiping, her blog is the reason I do what I do.

Thank you to you Kellie, your blog never fails to make me laugh or nod my head and made me unafraid to use my blog for my mindless rambles as well as beauty posts, and not care if people like it or not!

  12. Great idea!

When I set up my tech blog just over a month ago I was apprehensive and wondered if i was doing the right thing. My fash blog was successful so leaving it behind and taking up tech blogging was a big risk. So i would like to thank everyone who tweeted, retweeted and blogged about my new venture. Without them it wouldn't have grown so rapidly and appreciate it more than they'll ever know.

  13. I'm not a blogger, but I love this idea! I'd like to say thank you to you, and to bangsandabun for being so utterly fabulous. And I'd like to say thanks to Get Lippie, BeautyMouth, Lipglossiping and Modesty Brown for helping me become more educated about what I put on my face. (Though, my bank balance does not thank them. At all.)

  16. I'd like to say thankful to Ree who's Really Ree blog opened up a door to a whole new world of beauty blogging and for inspiring me to start my own.

Despite me being new to all this and probably a massive pain in the backside, she always takes the time to reply to my tweets and it was really nice that she took a look and followed my blog once I started.

    So thank you!

  18. Great post by the way! As a newcomer to the blogging world I did start to sense a divide amongst old and new school bloggers.

Definitely get the impression of a newer generation wanting to monetize and get success and compete rather than doing it for the love.

I have to say I've been pleasantly surprised as my experience (all 3 weeks of it) has been great so far. I was quite nervous about opening myself up to criticism or ridicule by starting a blog but the sense of community and support provided by the blogging world has made it worthwhile. I get massively excited to see another view let alone a comment on a post I've started...

If I could take this anywhere near as far as some of you guys I would be so proud of myself. And so should you!

    Big Love

    Lindsey

  19. What a fabulous, brilliant, lovely idea! Thank YOU xx
So... to Anna (@SkinBlisterBlog) and Dawn (@DollyLovesYou) for taking me under their wing at my first TOWIB and making me laugh so hard - you girls totally rock! For Louise (@Get_Lippie) for encouraging me to tweet again - I got my voice back! To Jayne (@JayneJRead) for being so welcoming and friendly. And to Mandi (@Mandi112) for being one of my best friends since forever and for believing in me since the very first day we met in the 80s.
And... to Hayley (@LBQblog) for doing such a blinding bloody job on Saturday!

  20. What a great idea! Thanks for the mention Georgina! I would like to thank @ReallyRee for being ace at my first press event. Liloo (@tsunimee) for constant support & advice. @Sailorettes for helping repair my blog when it broke. And these guys because they are always there for me: @MsDriftedSW, @Strawbry_Blonde, Sam of MUAF and about a million others!

  21. There are so many people I would like to thank for helping me get started (well I'm still starting but you know what I mean!) but the most important to me have been Jo Gifford (@dexdiva) and Bangs (@bangsandabun). Bangs is a complete inspiration, both as a blogger and with her work inspiring women to exercise. As for Jo, she has been there for me through the uninspired days, she's been with me at both the events I've been to (OK she was running one...) but is just generally a legend!

  22. I'd like to thank the peeps that just thanked me and: Big F, Get Lip, London MU girl, Yinks, Jane MB, Sparklz, Char Lipgloss, Bangs, Product Pixie, Beth Gloss Galore, Fei, Gems and apologies to anyone I should have named but didn't because its late and I'm sending this on my phone!
    Thank you lovely chiquiquittas.

  23. This is such a good idea as I always have people to thank. I have Visionary Beauty and Vex to thank for inspiring me to blog, as well as London Makeup Girl who was, and continues to be a big inspiration. I have Get Lippie, Helen JNT and OxfordJasmine to thanks for keeping me real. I also owe a huge debt of thanks to Lipglossiping for being my roomie in Nottingham and the best night in a Premier Inn ever (don't be filthy, this isn't a REN video).

Now I want to give some love to the girls who keep me smiling on Twitter: Sparklz and Shine, Ihavemostlybeen, girlymathsgeek, @Strawbry_Blonde, @makeupfairy82 and @CuratorofWHB. There are more but I need to recharge my glass...

  24. Lots and lots of people for me. Modesty Brown for sharing my various OCDs, Lipglossiping, Cosmetic Candy, Get Lippie, Helen Nice Things, Mrs Hirons, Visionary Beauty and Vex in the City for all being fantastic blogging buddies.

Get Lippie specially for me too - and she also knows why. It was a really crappy new year, and she was lovely.

  25. God, I'm like Gwyneth at the Oscars. Also Worship at the House of Blues and (not a blogger, but I love her) Nina - some of my first commenters, and now I think of them as good friends, albeit mostly virtual ones. Tali Gloss Goss, Cafe Makeup, Pink Sith and Lipstick Rules too, and more people than I can possibly remember and name.

My thanks go to Beauty Mouth for giving me a welcome squeal and hug at my first ever event when I didn't know anybody, to Ms. Lipglossiping for being the first beauty blog I discovered back when I didn't know other people loved lipstick as much as I do, and to the following people I've since got to know and really quite like: Jane MB, Lippie, Vex, Snowdrop86, Gemsmaquillage and HelenJNT, LondonMUGirl. Long may this love continue. Thank you Kellie x
