Run Fat Girl Run
So today is the day. Tonight I will be jogging (crawling) 5K for The British Heart Foundation in Canary Wharf.
Why did I agree to do it?
(Because I'm STUPID?)
Well why not? I have flirted with running for a long time now. I am never going to be a runner, but I really enjoy moving my body (oooohhh-eerrrrrrr missus) and I want to be fit and healthy and find walking and jogging a great form of cheap exercise, if I can raise some money for a great charity then all the better.
The British Heart Foundation is a charity close to my families heart and I will always support them. I

DeleteEnjoy it! My running tip, you 'non athlete running for charity women' carry your arms too high. It makes it harder work, you are using strength holding arms up by your chest, Swing them lower, down by your thighs/hips to above your waist. relax your arms from time to time, make a conscious effort to do so. You'll be amazed the relaxation you get by dropping your arms from time to time. It's not far really, but it's hot, take more water than you think you need. Go Kellie!

ReplyDeleteWell Bloody Done! I keep meaning to ask how the running is coming along, I started the Couch 2 5k in an effort to sort my ass out (literally) - too long have I spent believing I was built for comfort and not for speed.
ReplyDeleteRemember to keep hydrated, before with water, during with water and after with wine!
