Eyelash Extensions-A review

Just before the Jubilee weekend I posted about some rather gorgeous Jubilee lashes from Perfect Eyelashes which I really liked the look of,

So when the PR approached me to ask whether I wanted to try some Lash Extensions for myself I jumped at the chance, I only recently tried false eyelashes for the very first time in my life and the chance to experience fluttery lashes which will last for the next 4-6 weeks was more tempting than chocolate shorts on a Hollister model. (tempting indeedy)

I visited Agnes at Perfect Lashes in Kensington on Monday, the salon is quiet, warm and welcoming whilst remaining extremely professional, just like Agnes herself. We sat down and chatted about what I was looking for from my lashes and when she felt that my lashes wouldn't be unable to handle what I requested (LONG, GLAMOROUS AND SO FLUFFY I COULD DIE) she broke it to me gently and explained that the lashes on one of my eyes were a lot weaker than the other side and wouldn't be able to handle the weight of a glamour set,  But she assured me that what she could do would make a huge difference.

She wasn't wrong.

The first thing I have to say is that having eyelash extensions is a LOT more relaxing than I thought it would be! How I didn't drift off to sleep I really don't know. (I MAY have snored ONCE)

An hour or so later and I was transformed. (Ok, my eyelashes were transformed, I said an hour or so, an all over transformation would take significantly longer I'm afraid)

Do you want to see some pictures?

Some more before and after pics.

Ok, Bear in mind that I am wearing NO make up here!!!!!! None whatsoever, May I take this opportunity to warn you NOT to enlarge these pictures (Consider yourself warned, any retinal damage you sustain, you're on your own, I've covered my arse)

The process was relatively quick and yet completely effective, Agnes took the time to explain to me exactly what she was doing as she was working, she used different sizes to give a more natural effect and she worked on both eyes at once which she said gave a more balanced look to the eyes.

Job well done Agnes, I feel very balanced.

So I am now on Wednesday and I still have not stopped admiring my lashes in the mirror, I keep getting a little shock when I see myself looking back with gorgeously long thick fluttery lashes and already I know that I will miss them desperately when they fall out.

After two days, what has surprised me is that they are extremely light, they don't feel any different from my own lashes even though they may LOOK 2 ton heavier, it is like I have forgotten I have them (until I look in the mirror)

I am intending to see how long these lashes last and will be doing a follow up post in a couple of weeks to show how they are doing.

But so far, I am LOVING THEM.

Now who is going to fetch me a coffee?

Flutters eyelashes at you.

So what do you think? Are you a fan of Lash Extensions? Do you have them regularly? What do you think of mine?

I would LOVE to hear your opinions.

  1. They are fab. I believe these should be on the NHS and given to every new Mum before leaving the hospital, like a Bounty pack. Also anyone in times of 'jesus what am I gonna do with THAT' when looking at ones puddingy wrinkly face. When I was a beauty consultant, most of my time on the floor was spent going through ingredients of face creams and mascaras for girls who had just had these done. Whilst secretly being very jealous indeed. A couple of new Mums had them and they lasted ages.

  2. I am the lucky moo that won the FB comp that Perfect Eyelashes ran. So on Monday at 1pm I will be getting my eyelashes done. TO say I am excited about this may be a very slight understatement. I have told everyone! Even people I don't know lol.

Kellie, the before and after pics are brilliant! You look fabby as it is, now you have the lashes to match your fabbyness :D

I shall blog about my experience there as well, so will add pics (please remember I detest having my pic taken ;)).

    Masses of lashy love

  3. Wow, such a massive difference. Great job Agnes!
I'd love to get them done for my wedding, mascara wearing is an issue due to blubbing so having flutterers without the make up is fab.

  5. They look fabulous, I don't do too badly witg just mascara but fancy trying some falsies or extensions to feel more glam, I'm always (unreasonably??) scared of falsies falling off so I guess extensions avoid this fear better

  7. I am being wafted with the breeze from these, they are incredible, can you not go back in time a couple of weeks when it was too hot please? Now that I have been using revitalash for 7 months or so my lashes are great, not in your league but okay. Fab review.

  8. Ahhhhh I need, they look stunning! Daft question maybe but do you have to be super careful with them? Like, can you rub makeup remover over them or get them wet?

    1. Perfect Eyelashes need minimal care. It is necessary to avoid oils and oily eye make-up remover as they will loosen the adhesive bond of the extension. Rubbing, scratching and pulling will spoil the effect and shorten the life. All our clients will be given an after care card so you will be fully aware what to do or not to do with your new beautiful lashes.

  10. A beautiful accessory, to an already beautiful lady, they are fabulous and look very natural while looking fabulously false, if that makes any sense. Need to raid the old mans bank account and book in to have these done. Thank you

  11. I'm quite addicted to lash extensions! Am on my fourth set/infill and I love them. I have had them fall out quite a lot, and are high maintenance as I have to go every couple of weeks for the top up.. But they make me feel beautiful!

  13. I've had my eyelashes done twice. I had them done for my wedding day, which is just as well, because I had fack all time to put any make up on! I'd have them 365 days a year if I could. Love em.

  14. Wow, they look amazing. I just googled people who do them in Bristol and will try and convince my OH to treat me to some of them. They would make me feel like a million dollars...
