I Like It Hot and Wet

I have run out of coffee.

Now you can take this as a statement of fact, a friendly warning or even in the manner it was intended, a court-ordered alert for you to run away and save yourselves. NO YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO GET GRANDMA!!! Granny is going to have to take her chances with the rest of them. (Unless Grandma has coffee, in which case, let's go visit Grandma)

I can't help it, My name is Kellie and I am a coffee addict. I just can't get enough of the stuff, Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha, yes I know they all sound like rejected names for characters in, In The Night Garden but they are practically my trigger arousal words, Some people like diamonds, I like Douwe Egberts, Naming a star after me, or Starbucks? Starbucks every time. Stick a hot, wet, steamy c....................offee in front of me and I will be grateful (and ask you where the biscuits are)

I cannot function without coffee in the morning, I am currently drinking tea, and it is okay, it isn't offending me or doing anything wrong, it just isn't coffee. It is like being given Ryan Gosling, when you really wanted Ryan Reynolds, Poor Ryan Gosling is doing his best, and his best is good, but he could do cartwheels naked and show you that he has a nine-inch tongue and the ability to breathe through his ears and he still wouldn't be Ryan Reynolds.

Now I may be alone in my adoration of coffee (and Ryan Reynolds) but I don't think that I am, What was once a proud nation of tea drinkers has now slowly swung the other way and we are consuming a LOT more coffee than we ever did in the past.

What do you drink? Are you a coffee addict too? Or are you partial to a pot of tea instead?

Let me know.

(and tell your Grandma to stick kettle on, I'm coming to get her)

  2. I'm not a coffee drinker but I am a wee tea jenny. I cannot function properly until I've had my first cuppa of the day, which makes the babys first bottle of the day a whole lot of fun!

  3. I'm the same, but with tea. Tea is GOOD. Coffee is for when I need a kick start, not for everyday.

Coffee tastes all kinds of wrong, and so I need to add flavours to it. Like Hazelnut. Or Irish Cream. Or Amaretto. Mmmmmm... not coffee tasting any more!!

  4. Coffee all the way unless I'm feeling tired and a little bit odd and then I will have a milky tea with sugar. But I love my coffee, black and strong and straight from the jar! No sugar, no milk, just pure unadulterated caffeinie!

  5. I used to be a tea addict but since moving to France I appear to have taken up coffee. I try to stick to just 2 caffeinated cups a day and then switch to decaf though, but now tea just doesn't cut it.

What will happen to your name if you give up tea completely. ;-)

  8. TEA!!!!!!!!!! Well, I think I'd probably choose tea because I was born north of the Watford Gap (HUGE generalisation), but I do enjoy a cuppa after a meal out and the odd espresso martini cocktail.

  9. Black coffee, two sugars please. one sugar if it's drip/pourover, hazelnut syrup if it's a latte. And do not expect anything from me until I'm on cup number three. My colleagues know the score.book me onto a conf call pre ten am, you have to get me a coffee before I dial in. Decaf is only acceptable if made with hot red bull instead of water. But I think my mug says it best... http://www.flickr.com/photos/rstevens/8300534297

  10. I need caffeine to function, no matter what time of night or day it is. Caffeine straightens out my head and makes me the reasonable person that I am. Tea doesn't do a thing for me, although I was raised drinking it. I like my coffee black without anything in it and no funny flavors either.

  11. My name is Vonn, and I am a coffee addict.

There I admitted it. I drink far too much coffee, interspersed with energy drinks and tea. I am possibly so over caffeinated I float. Well I would float if I wasn't as heavy as I am and if gravity didn't exist....

I need coffee, if I don't drink it I get gods awful headaches (apparently the sign of a true caffeine addict). I am also feral in the morning until after my 2nd mug of the liquid goodness.

So yes, I am partial to the odd mug of coffee here and there :)
