George at Asda, Spring has Sprung

When the flowers are pushing through the earth and I start to use my heavy winter coat less and less, I don't care what you say, Spring has sprung.

And now my attention turns to clothing that isn't knitted jumpers, or just about being warm, NOW, I can start to look at fabrics, and dare I say it, patterns, because now whatever I wear will not be hidden under a coat, I may even soon be able to go out in a............. jacket. (I know, I know, I'm getting ahead of myself)

These are the sort of things that keep my mind whirring in the middle of the night, you know.

So now I have come to the decision it is time to look for some new tops, my next port of call is Asda, I think there is a definitive point in your life when you get to call yourself a grown-up,  and it is when you do this.

As a young person (or someone not yet paying any bills, you will put on a top and proudly say to your friends, "Look at this top, it cost me £150, sweet, isn't it?" and then when you are an adult, you will turn to your friends in your new clothes and say, "Look at this top, it cost me a tenner, I know, bargain, right?"

So Asda fulfils those needs in me, and Spring brings their new season range, which you can check out here. -> Asda tops

As always, Asda have something for everyone, I usually end up throwing a top in with my weekly shop because, well, you know how it goes. If I have to food shop with three children then I deserve a treat too, am I right?

These are a couple of the tops that will be making an appearance in my trolley pretty soon for spring.

I love the pretty top above, especially with the scarf.
I don't know what it is with me and this print but I already own the dress with this print and another top as well, this would just complete the set and give me florals for all occasions. I need this.

Ok, so this shirt will be mine, no if's or buts, I want it. I shall wear it with black jeans, I shall wear it with a red blazer, or perhaps with a red scarf tied around my neck as I sit OUTSIDE a cafe, sipping coffee. This will definitely be mine. or else.

Do I need to explain why I want this T-shirt? It has Elmo on it and it will match my Elmo knickers, I mean socks, Elmo socks. (phew, I covered that well)

So for spring, I pretty much have it covered I think, how about you?

Are you the type of person who picks something up for yourself while doing the weekly shop?

What do you think of my spring choices?

Let me know.

  2. ASDA tends to bypass me when it comes to clothing as I'm a Sainsburys shopper (and their TU stuff is getting steadily more expensive) until I see my friends wearing something and think 'oh yeah, I didn't think to look in ASDA'. I need some of the shirts from the new range!! And then I can go buy a creme egg afterwards. YAY. xx
