I wore my glasses religiously every day for a month, then threw them in a cupboard and forgot about them. (I see you nodding) A couple of years ago my optician bitchslapped me and told me I needed to wear my glasses.
That lasted about six months and then I put them back in the drawer and would pull them out of the drawer only when I had a headache. (Yep, you're nodding again aren't you?)
When Specspost asked me if I would like to do a review for them I decided it was time to update my prescription and get my eyes tested for the first time in four years.
Ever seen an optician sob with frustration and sadness? I have now, it's not a pretty sight.
So my eyes have got a lot worse and I now need a prescription for both close up vision and long distance and I have to wear them all the time. (Tapes shut all the drawers)
Whoops.
Luckily Specspost were kind enough to offer me the chance to review various glasses from their site so I chose 2 pairs for close up work and 2 for distance.
Specspost have a huge range of glasses on their site and I was spoilt for choice. The prices are CHEAP, for the price of a pair of glasses in a High St opticians you can probably pick up three pairs of glasses with single vision lenses.
These are Alfie and are my FAVOURITE. (I miss my blue hair)
These are Pieni, they are in the petite range, and yet still fit my giant face.
Animalistic Red Giraffe. I love these. I boosted the colour on the pic so you could really see the pattern of the glasses. FUNKY.
And I have forgotten the name of these, I promise to edit it it in when I find it.
I was lucky, every pair that I chose suited the shape of my face but just in case you aren't sure, Specspost do a home trial with a fully refundable deposit.
I think I'm going to be investing in a pair of prescription sunglasses next from Specspost.
But I really cannot ever see me buying a pair of glasses on the high street again. Alfie in brown with single vision lenses are just £23.
THERE IS NO EXCUSE NOT TO HAVE WEARABLE GLASSES ANYMORE!!!
Have you tried Specspost before? What did you think?
If not, check them out here -> www.specspost.co.uk
and by the way, what do you think of my glasses?
Let me know.

Glasses sent for review, as always, my words are my own.
You really suit glasses! I can't even wear sunglasses most of the time because they look so ridiculous on me, so I'm pretty jealous!

Oh I do like those, I've been using glasses direct, but I might take a peek at this range.
ReplyDeleteI've reviewed SpecsPost before and they're a lovely company with lovely products! I tried Alfie brown too and though I was a big fan, I went for some wayfarer sunnies - prescription sunglasses are such a god-send to have in my car! Love the Pieni ones, they're a lovely colour :) xx
ReplyDeleteThat is a crazy price! Never used them before, but my last pair of glasses (with prescription sunglasses) which included a work discount, was well over £100. Definitely one on my to try list!
