This morning, social media is awash with news of the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards,
FABULOUS, I hear you say,
So who won what? You also ask.
I HAVEN'T GOT A BLOODY CLUE, is my reply.
Because ALL I have seen this morning is who wore WHAT, pictures of who looks good and who the Daily Mail decided looks like shit.
I do not have a single clue about what the awards were, who won what or even the categories. And this saddens me.
An event which champions women and recognises their achievements and all the media are interested in sharing is who matched their lipstick to their heels, or WORSE, didn't.
I want to know which women walked through fire to get to where she is today, not which women walked the red carpet. I want to be inspired by stories of women and their achievements not their shoes.
Don't misunderstand me, I love a good dress as much as the next person, but let us not forget the event and what they were doing there. Collecting awards and celebrating their work, not just collecting goodie bags and being clothes horses.
All I ask for is a balance, is that too much to ask?
Let me know.

Ps, if anyone knows who won what award, please comment and let me know.
