Over the last few months, Leeds has undergone yet another transformation and established itself as the home of some really great restaurants, from the street food at Trinity Kitchen to some great burger joints, you are now spoilt for choice for a great night out with friends.
AND NOW MEATliquor IS HERE!!!!
Opening on the 9th of September, I attended their preview event and got to finally sample for myself the phenomenon that is MEATliquor
AND I AM SOLD.
From Tobacco Onions to Monkey Fingers and Pickled Gerkins, without even getting me started on the actual burgers with Dead Hippie sauce, MEATliquor manages to elbow itself into the heart (and stomachs) of the Leeds foodies with ease.
Achingly cool without even trying, the decor is a perfect fit for the menu,
The light boxes had me fascinated.
The articles on the wall in the bathrooms had me fixated,
and the ceiling is fucking brilliant.
It was a soft preview evening for MEATliquor with trays of food being brought around, (which will account for me still being slightly hungry at the end of the evening) but what I did try was absolutely delicious and enough to make me want to go and have a meal there.
(Other food was consumed however it went in my mouth before I remembered to take a picture, Such a bad blogger)
The drinks were flowing, (weren't they Mr Barman?)
The Strawberry Daiquiris slipped down VERY easily, and although it was a very busy preview evening, the bar staff managed to deal with people's orders quickly and with a smile on their face.
It was also a great chance to speak to the staff who are all really proud to be working for MEATliquor and are excited about the fast approaching opening.
MEATliquor Leeds opens on the 9th of September and they are on Bank St, just by Trinity Shopping Centre, behind Victoria Secret.
I highly recommend that if you are in Leeds, you pay them a visit.
I may see you there.
Have you ever been to a MEATliquor before? Will you be going to the new one opening in Leeds?
Let me know.
