I'm just starting to get back into vinyl and earlier I was reminiscing about my first ever album with my children.
Now That's What I Call Music 10.
Nope, not even sorry. T'Pau, Johnny Hates Jazz, Wet Wet, Wet. It was an amazing album.
But it got me thinking, (God, I'm old)
What was your first ever album that you purchased?
Let me know
Big Fashionista x x
First album I had bought for me was Adam Ants Prince Charming. The first one I bought with my own pennies was Alice Coopers Poison. Both are still awesome albums.
ReplyDeleteBoney M and the specials, bought with my holiday money. I also had Now 2
ReplyDeleteNow 36. It had, if I remember correctly, Breakfast at Tiffany's on it.
ReplyDeleteWELL NOW I FEEL OLD :D
DeleteFirst album bought for me was 'Kings of the Wild Frontier' by Adam and the Ants, I was 7 years old and had a huge crush on Adam Ant.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember the first album I bought with my own money. I know the first single I bought was 'Desire' by U2 but I think I had bought a few albums by then, I usually just recorded singles off the radio ;-)
Mine was Bridge of Spies by T'Pau and I still know all the words. ;) xx
ReplyDeleteI'm fairly sure now 10 was mine too! Either that or Belinda Carlisle's album.
ReplyDeleteT'Pau were awesome!! And I'm Scottish so required by law to like wet wet wet,....
X
Take That and Party - not sorry one bit :-) x
ReplyDeleteMilli Vanilla...the one with Blame it on the Rain and Paula Abdul....with Straight Up. Cannot remember the actual album names for the life of me. The Cranberries No Need to Argue was the first CD I owned.
ReplyDeleteI think mine was Britney Spears - Hit Me Baby One More Time. I had terrible taste in music back then.
ReplyDeleteHah! I'm pretty sure mine was a David Bowie album - Space Oddity maybe? But I'm sat here laughing because while decorating and clearing a few weeks ago I found some albums I'd forgotten about (vinyl obviously!) and amongst them was "Now That's what I call Music".... No, that's it... No numbers! LOL Now how old do I feel!? About 18 again actually. :-D :-D Thanks for the memories. Jude.x
